Settings
Settings is where your account lives: who you are, how you sign in, how Judicio looks and what it emails you about. Organisation admins get two more pages here: one for the team, one for the document systems it connects to.
Settings opens on its own screen with its own left rail. The header reads Settings and carries a close control on the right. Profile, Security, Preferences, Organization, Usage & Analytics, and Billing & Invoices share one outlined white pane on a grey canvas, with corresponding dark surfaces in dark mode. Horizontal rules separate major sections. Side-by-side groups use vertical rules that turn horizontal when the groups stack on a narrow screen.
- Reach it from: the avatar at the right-hand end of the top bar.
- Pages for everyone: Profile, Security, Preferences, Usage & Analytics, Billing & Invoices.
- Pages for organisation admins: Organization, and Integrations where document-system sync is turned on.
- Saved on a button: Profile, Preferences, and the Organization sections.
- Saved the moment you change it: theme, and the Auto-detect jurisdictions toggle.
Opening settings
There is no Settings entry anywhere in the sidebar. Every settings page is reached from the avatar at the right-hand end of the top bar, next to the theme control and the jurisdiction switcher.
Selecting the avatar opens a menu. The menu links go straight to their destination, so there is no intermediate Settings screen to pass through.
| Menu item | Where it goes | When you see it |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, email and plan | The plan strip carries Upgrade on a trial and Manage on a paid plan | Always, once your plan has loaded |
| Profile | Profile | Always |
| Security | Security | Always |
| Preferences | Preferences | Always |
| Organization | Organisation settings | Organisation admins only |
| Billing & Invoices | The billing page. See Billing and invoices | Hidden from organisation members who cannot manage the subscription |
| Usage & Analytics | Usage and analytics | Always |
| Take a tour | Restarts the guided product tour in place | On a desktop-width window, where the tour is available |
| Show getting started | Restores the Getting started checklist on the home | After you dismiss the checklist, while it still has steps left |
| Sign out | Ends this session | Always |
The settings rail
Once you are inside, the left rail carries your name, a strip naming your plan, and the page list. The rail shows the same set for everyone except the two admin pages.
| Rail item | Page | When it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Your name, image, country, mobile number, jurisdictions, roles and practice areas | Always |
| Security | Account overview, sign-in method and signed-in devices | Always |
| Preferences | Theme, language, timezone, notifications, research and export defaults | Always |
| Organization | Your organisation's identity, jurisdictions, seats, members and invitations | Organisation admins only |
| Integrations | Document-system connections and synced folders | Organisation admins, where document-system sync is turned on for your deployment |
| Usage & Analytics | Credits and activity over a date range | Always |
| Billing & Invoices | Plan, balance, invoices and credit purchases. See Billing and invoices | Hidden from organisation members who cannot manage the subscription |
Selecting the close control in the header takes you back to the screen you opened settings from, or to the dashboard home if you came straight in by link.
What saves, and when
Judicio does not use one save rule everywhere, so it is worth knowing which page you are on.
| Page | How it saves |
|---|---|
| Profile | Staged, then written by Save changes. Cancel restores the last saved values. Your profile image is the exception: it uploads as soon as you pick it. |
| Security | Nothing to save. The only actions are signing sessions out. |
| Preferences | Staged, then written by Save preferences. Discard changes restores the last saved values. Theme applies live, and Auto-detect jurisdictions saves on the spot. |
| Organization | Each section saves itself. Organization details has Edit, Save and Cancel; Default jurisdictions has its own Save changes. |
| Integrations | Each connection card saves itself. The synced-folder wizard commits when you start the sync. |
| Usage & Analytics | Read-only. Filters and tabs change what you see, not what is stored. |
What lives somewhere else
- Plans, credits, seats and invoices live in Account & Billing. Settings links across to them rather than repeating them.
- What each add-in actually does lives in Add-ins. The settings page covers only turning them on and pairing one to your account.
- Sharing, roles on a work item and permissions live in Collaboration.
