Organisation Settings

The Organization tab is where admins on the Organisation plan manage their team's shared workspace: the organisation's identity, the default jurisdictions new members inherit, and the member roster itself.

Admin access required

The Organization tab only appears for users who are admins of an organisation on the Organisation plan. If you don't see it, one of the gated states below explains why.

Who sees what

When you open /settings/organization, Judicio checks your plan and role and shows one of these:

Non-admin members never reach the Organization tab in the rail — it's hidden for them.

Opening the page

1

Navigate to Organization

Select your profile avatar in the bottom-left of the sidebar, choose Settings, then select Organization in the Settings rail. (Visible to admins only.)

Organisation details

2

View and edit your organisation's identity

The Organization details card shows four read-only fields:

  • Name — your organisation's display name.
  • Slug — the URL-safe identifier (lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens).
  • Created — the date the organisation was set up.
  • Created By — the member who created it.

To change the name or slug, select Edit in the top-right of the card.

3

Save your edits

In edit mode, the Name and Slug become editable fields:

  1. Update the Name and/or Slug. The slug accepts only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens — anything else shows an inline error.
  2. Select Save to apply, or Cancel to discard.
Choose a recognisable name

Use your firm's legal name or the name your team will immediately recognise — it appears wherever your shared workspace is referenced.

Default jurisdictions

4

Set the jurisdictions new members inherit

The Default jurisdictions card sets the jurisdictions that pre-seed the picker for new invitees during their first onboarding.

  1. Use the jurisdiction picker — quick-pick chips for the common jurisdictions, plus search for anything else (up to 5).
  2. The first jurisdiction is the organisation's primary jurisdiction.
  3. Select Save changes (it stays disabled until you change something).

A banner reminds you that changing this list does not change existing members' personal jurisdictions — only new invitees inherit it.

Members see this read-only

Non-admin members who can view this card (where applicable) see the jurisdictions as a plain list of country names and flags with a Primary tag on the first — no editing controls.

Members

The Members card lists everyone in your organisation in a table.

5

Read the member roster

The table has four columns:

  • Member — avatar, name, and email.
  • RoleAdmin or Member.
  • Joined — the date they joined.
  • Actions — a menu (admins only).

A people count ("5 people") sits under the Members heading.

6

Invite a new member

  1. Select Invite member (top-right of the card). The Invite users dialog opens.
  2. Enter one or more email addresses, separated by commas.
  3. Pick the role for the invitees from the dropdown — Member (default) or Admin.
  4. Select Send invite.

Judicio validates each address and skips anyone who's already a member, confirming with a toast (and telling you if any individual address failed).

7

Change a member's role or remove them

Select the menu on a member's row:

  • Switch to Admin / Switch to Member — flips that member's role.
  • Remove user — removes them from the organisation immediately; they lose access to shared resources.

Pending invitations

8

Track and revoke invitations

The Pending invitations card lists everyone you've invited who hasn't accepted yet, with Email, Role, and Send date columns.

To cancel an invitation before it's accepted, select Revoke on its row. If there are none, the card reads "No pending invitations."

Need the bigger picture on seats and billing?

Inviting members consumes seats on your subscription. For seat counts, billing, and the full team lifecycle, see Team Management.
