Review Matrix
Review Matrix lets you ask a set of questions across an entire collection of documents and receive structured, citation-backed answers in return. Instead of reading a large contract set one by one, you define the questions that matter and let Judicio extract the answers from every document simultaneously — into a clear, comparable grid.
- What: Extract structured answers from multiple documents against a set of questions
- Input: PDF or DOCX documents + questions (Smart, Template, or Custom)
- Output: A typed, cited matrix — documents on one axis, questions on the other, with a confidence flag in every cell
- Modes: Deep (thorough extraction) | Concise (fast screening)
- Export: Excel, CSV, Word, or PDF — with citations
The result is a structured matrix -- documents on one axis, questions on the other -- where every cell contains an answer, a confidence score, and a direct link to the source clause in the original document.
Open Review Matrix in JudicioWhy use Review Matrix
Legal professionals routinely need to extract the same information from large document sets. Review Matrix turns hours of manual reading into a single, automated extraction pass:
- M&A due diligence -- Extract key terms, obligations, change-of-control provisions, assignment clauses, and risk factors from a large set of target-company contracts.
- Lease review -- Pull rent escalation schedules, renewal options, termination rights, permitted use restrictions, and maintenance responsibilities from a portfolio of commercial leases.
- Loan portfolio analysis -- Identify interest rates, maturity dates, prepayment penalties, financial covenants, and cross-default provisions across loan agreements.
- Regulatory compliance -- Check whether contracts contain required clauses such as data protection terms, anti-bribery provisions, or insurance requirements.
- Employment agreement review -- Extract non-compete terms, notice periods, severance provisions, and IP assignment clauses from employee contracts.

How it works
- Select documents -- Choose the documents you want to analyze from your project's file library. You can select anywhere from a single document to hundreds.
- Author questions -- Define what you want to extract. Use Smart mode to let AI generate relevant questions, pick a pre-built Template, or write Custom questions in plain English.
- Run extraction -- Judicio processes every document against every question. Progress streams in real time so you can monitor the extraction as it runs.
- Review answers -- Examine the results in Table, By document, By question, or Insights view. Check confidence scores, follow source citations back to the original text, and edit any answers that need correction.
- Export results -- Download the completed matrix in your preferred format for reporting, further analysis, or sharing with stakeholders.
Credit usage
Review Matrix uses credits based on the number of documents and questions in your extraction. A larger document set or more questions will consume more credits. See Credits Explained for detailed pricing.
