Which plan do I need?

Collaboration on work items is an Organisation plan feature — you share with active members of your own organisation. On Starter or Professional (personal workspaces) the sharing controls do not appear. See Subscription Plans.

I'm on the Organisation plan but don't see the Share button

Item-level collaboration is being rolled out progressively. If your organisation does not see it yet and you need it, contact support at support@judicio.ai. Also check that you are working inside your organisation workspace rather than a personal one.

Which features support sharing?

All seven AI workspaces: Research, Drafting, Document Review, Review Matrix, Timeline, Translation, and Case Strategy. Folders and files have their own sharing model, and projects have member roles — item-level sharing complements both.

Privacy and access

Who can see my work items?

Only you and the people the item is explicitly shared with. Work items are private by default — being in the same organisation or the same project does not let a colleague open your research session, review, or draft. Organisation admins have no special access to work-item content either.

Can organisation admins see everything?

No. Admins manage membership, billing, and settings — they do not get implicit access to members' work items. If an admin needs to see an item, its owner (or an editor on it) shares it with them like anyone else.

What happens when someone leaves the organisation?

They lose access to items that were shared with them. Items they owned remain in their account; if the work should stay with the team, have them transfer ownership before they go.

Can I share with someone outside my organisation?

Not with item-level sharing — it is same-organisation only. For external parties, share a folder from the File Library or invite them to a project.

Roles and editing

What is the difference between Editor and Viewer?

Editors work in the item — they can ask follow-ups, post in threads, re-run analyses, edit drafts and matrix cells, rename, and share it with more members. Viewers have the complete read-only picture — every result, thread, and live update, plus export. The full matrix is in Sharing a Work Item.

Can an editor remove other collaborators?

No. Editors can add members (up to Editor role), but only the owner can change roles, remove collaborators, transfer ownership, or delete the item.

Can two people edit a draft at the same time?

No — drafts use edit locks. While a collaborator is editing, others see "[name] is editing" and the editor unlocks when they finish. Review Matrix cells can be edited concurrently because each cell is independent. Judicio intentionally does not do simultaneous same-document typing; see Working Together.

Do collaborators see my follow-up conversations?

Yes — on a shared item, all follow-up threads are visible to everyone with access, with each message attributed to its author. Share an item only when its whole conversation should be team-visible.

Costs and housekeeping

Whose credits do collaborator actions use?

The organisation's shared credit pool — the same pool every seat draws from. Usage is attributed to the person who ran the action, so per-member analytics stay accurate. See Credits Explained.

What happens if the owner deletes a shared item?

It is deleted for everyone — collaborators lose access and the item leaves their Shared lists. Deleting is owner-only, so an item cannot be deleted out from under its owner.

What happens to my contributions if my access is revoked?

They stay with the item, attributed to you. Revoking access controls who can open the item going forward; it does not rewrite its history.

Does sharing a review or translation share every document in it?

Yes. Multi-document review and translation runs are shared as one unit — collaborators can open every document in the run. A fresh run on the same files starts unshared.

Can I share a citation with someone who does not have Judicio?

Yes — that is a citation share link, not work-item sharing. The recipient opens a /share/… page for one cited passage (or its page). They do not get the rest of the session.
