Getting started with Projects
This is the shortest complete path through Projects: eight screens, from an empty list to an archived matter. Each step names the control you press and says what happens next.
Anyone can create projects. The Members tab, the Share project step of the create form and the User filter on the history appear on the Organization plan only, because they need colleagues to share with.
Open Projects
Select Projects in the top bar, at its right-hand end. With at least 960px of workspace width, the screen has a 320px project list on the left and the selected project’s details on the right. At narrower widths, selecting a project opens its details with Back available to return to the list.
The list header carries the title Projects and a New project button. Below it sits the status switch, reading Active (n) and Archived (n), then a full-width Search projects box with a search icon and clear action. Labelled tag and sort controls sit on the row below; the tags filter starts on All.
Each compact row shows the project name, its description, its tags, the file count and how long ago it changed. A project seeded by Judicio carries a Judicio badge and sorts last.
With no project open, the right-hand pane reads Select a project to get started. On a brand new account the whole screen is replaced by No projects yet, with its own New project button.

Create the project
New project opens a form. Step one is headed Project details and has three fields.
- Project name is required and must be between 3 and 100 characters.
- Description is required.
- Tags starts collapsed behind an Add tags link. Selecting a tag moves it up into the selected row, where each has a remove control.
On the Organization plan the footer button reads Save and continue and takes you to a second step, Share project. Everywhere else it reads Create project and finishes there. See Creating projects for the second step in full.
A toast confirms the new project by name, and the project appears at the top of the list.
Open the project
Select a row to browse the project. Its name becomes the main heading and the details open on the History tab. Browsing does not change the active project.
Above the tabs sit the project description, status, tags, file count and creator information. Active projects offer Open files, which makes the project active and opens its File Library. Switch to this project, Edit project and Manage project remain available according to your role and the project’s state.
The tabs are History, Analytics and, on the Organization plan, Members. Nothing else. The close control at the top right of the pane returns you to the list.

Make it the active project
Switch to this project in the heading area makes this the matter every feature works in. The button disappears once the project is active, and the project selector at the left of the top bar takes its name.
Switching clears the previous matter's file selections, open previews and folder view, then loads this project's folders. Nothing is deleted: switch back and the previous project is exactly as you left it.
Read the activity trail
The History tab lists what has been run in the project under the heading Recent activity, newest first, grouped under date headings such as TODAY and YESTERDAY.
Each row carries the feature glyph, a one-line description, the person who ran it, the credits it used, the time, the file it ran on when there was just one, and a status pill: Completed, Partial, Failed or Cancelled. Selecting a row opens that run.
The filter row above the list holds Search activities, Date range, Type, User on the Organization plan, and File. See Project history.

Check what the matter has cost
The Analytics tab reports credit usage under the heading Credit usage analytics, with a period dropdown at the right of that heading offering Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days and All time. It opens on Last 30 days.
Underneath are three figures, Credits Used, Files and Pages Processed, then a bar per feature showing what each has spent, then a chart of credits over the period. See Project analytics.

See who has access
On the Organization plan, the Members tab lists everyone on the project. The heading reads Members with the count beneath it, and the table columns are Member, Role, Joined and, for the owner, Actions.
The owner's row shows the word Owner as plain text and has no menu. Every other row shows Editor or Viewer. Only the owner can change them.

Add a colleague
Add member, at the top right of the Members card, opens a modal titled Add member. It lists the people in your organisation who are not already on the project, each with a checkbox and an Editor or Viewer dropdown. New selections start as Editor.
The footer button reads Add (n) and counts what you have ticked. It stays disabled until you tick at least one person. There is no email field here: you can only add people who are already in your organisation. See Managing members.

When the matter closes
Manage project in the heading area opens Archive project and Delete project. Archiving moves the project to the Archived tab and keeps everything; its details then offer Restore project. Deleting cannot be undone from the app. See Archiving projects.
