Managing Your Subscription

You can change your plan at any time from Settings → Billing & invoices. The plan banner at the top of that page is the control centre — every action below starts there.

Opening your subscription settings

1

Open Billing & invoices

Click your profile avatar at the bottom of the sidebar, choose Settings, then open Billing & invoices.

2

Read your plan banner

The banner shows your tier and status (for example Professional · Active), then a row of tiles — Plan cost, Included credits, Next billing date, and Payment method — plus the action buttons Manage subscription, Manage seats (Organisation admins), Update payment, and Cancel plan.

Manage your subscription

Changing your plan

Manage subscription opens the "Upgrade your plan" screen — the same two-card plan picker you'd see when upgrading from a trial, but seeded with your current plan, seats, and billing interval.

1

Open the plan picker

In the plan banner, click Manage subscription.

2

Choose your new plan and interval

Use the Monthly / Yearly toggle to pick an interval, then act on a card:

  • To move Professional → Organisation, set your seats with the − / + counter and click Upgrade to Organisation.
  • To move Organisation → Professional, click Downgrade to Professional.
  • To switch billing interval on the same tier, flip the toggle and re-select your current plan.
3

Confirm the change

A confirmation dialog summarises the change and its price. Click confirm to apply it.

  • Upgrades (and interval switches to annual) take effect immediately — your saved card is charged a prorated amount and your credit pool updates straight away.
  • Downgrades are scheduled for your next renewal — you keep your current plan and credits until then. Judicio routes you back to the billing page, where a banner shows the pending change.
Everything carries over

Whichever direction you move, your projects, documents, and completed analyses are preserved. Only your plan, seat count, and credit allocation change.

Cancelling a scheduled change

A scheduled downgrade or seat decrease shows as an info banner on the billing page: "Your plan changes to … on [date]." To call it off, click Cancel scheduled change in that banner — your current plan simply continues.

Adding or removing seats (Organisation)

Seat changes are handled in the Manage seats dialog, available to Organisation admins.

1

Open Manage seats

In the plan banner, click Manage seats.

2

Set the new seat count

Use the − / + counter to choose your seat count (minimum 2, maximum 50). The dialog shows the new monthly (or yearly) total as you change it. Click Update seats.

What happens:

  • Adding seats takes effect immediately. The charge is prorated for the rest of the current billing period, and each new seat adds 5,000 credits to your shared pool right away.
  • Removing seats is scheduled for your next renewal. You keep the current seats and credits until then, and the dialog shows a "Cancel scheduled change" option in case you change your mind.
Free up seats before reducing them

You cannot drop below the number of people already in your organisation (active members plus pending invitations). If you try, Judicio rejects the change and tells you how many seats are in use. Remove those members first — see Team Management.

Cancelling your subscription

1

Open the cancel dialog

In the plan banner, click Cancel plan. (On Organisation, this is available to the subscription owner or an admin.)

2

Confirm the cancellation

The Cancel subscription dialog explains that your plan will not renew after your current period ends. Click Cancel subscription to confirm, or Keep my plan to back out.

What happens when you cancel:

  • Your subscription is set to not renew. You keep full access — including your remaining credits — until the end of the current billing period.
  • The plan banner switches to a "Your plan ends on [date]" notice.
  • After that date, your account loses access to paid AI features and any unused credits.
  • Your projects, documents, and completed analyses are not deleted — you can still view them, and resubscribing restores full access.
Pause instead of cancel

Taking a break from active casework? Downgrading to Professional keeps your account fully functional at a lower cost rather than losing paid access entirely.

Resuming a cancelled plan

If you've scheduled a cancellation and change your mind before the end date, click Resume plan in the "Your plan ends on …" banner. Your subscription goes back to renewing normally.

Resume isn't available on every provider

The Resume plan button appears when your subscription supports it. If you don't see it, simply start a new subscription from Manage subscription before or after the end date — your data is waiting.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle. On the renewal date:

  • Your allocated credit balance resets to the full monthly amount for your plan (purchased credits are not reset).
  • Your payment method is charged for the upcoming cycle.
  • A new invoice appears under the Invoices tab.

If a charge fails, Judicio retries it and emails you, with a short grace period to fix your payment details before access is affected. See Billing & Invoices.
