When access is blocked
Judicio can stop an account for seven distinct reasons. Each one has its own screen, its own wording, and one action that clears it. This page tells you which state you are in and what to do about it.
This is a full block, not a reduced-permissions mode. There is no read-only Judicio: while the block is up, the tools do not run.
What the block looks like
Opening or reloading any Judicio tool while your account is in one of these states takes you out of the product to a single centred card. It has the Judicio logo, a heading, one sentence, one or two buttons, and Sign out at the foot. There is no sidebar and no navigation, because there is nothing else to do from there.
If a request fails while you are already working, what happens next depends on the reason. An ended trial, a lapsed subscription and an empty credit pool raise a modal over the page you are on, which cannot be dismissed and carries Upgrade now and Sign out. The other four reasons, which are a suspension, a removal from an organisation, a paused subscription and a required upgrade, take you straight to the card instead.
Either way a short list of pages stays open so you can fix the problem yourself: the status card, Billing & invoices, the plan picker, sign-out, organisation setup and onboarding. The rest of Settings is closed. Where the reason is something billing can actually fix, which means an overdue payment, a paused plan or an empty pool, Billing & Invoices stays in the Settings rail and everything else disappears from it. For the other four reasons the rail goes entirely.
The seven states
| State | What caused it | What the card says | What clears it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Out of credits | Your credit pool reached zero while the plan is otherwise fine | You're out of credits | Buy a pack, or move to a plan with a bigger allocation |
| Trial ended | The free trial ran its course without a paid plan | Your trial has ended | Choose a plan |
| Payment required | The subscription is cancelled, overdue, expired, or was never set up because the first payment failed | Payment required | Fix the card, or pick a new plan |
| Access removed | An organisation admin removed you from the organisation | Account access removed | Only your admin can undo this |
| Account locked | Judicio suspended the account, or deactivated it for a reason it cannot classify | Account locked | Contact support |
| Upgrade required | An administrator requires this account on a specific plan before it continues | An upgrade is required | Move to the plan that is required |
| Subscription paused | The subscription is paused | Your subscription is paused | Check billing, or contact support |
Out of credits
Your plan is healthy and its billing is up to date. The pool that pays for AI actions is simply empty for this billing period.
The card reads Top up your credits or upgrade your plan to continue using Judicio. View plans opens the plan picker; Buy credits takes you to the billing page, where the packs are.
Buying a pack restores access immediately. So does the start of your next billing period, which opens a fresh allocation. If you keep landing here, the Overview tab shows where the credits went, and Credits explained shows what each action costs.
Your trial has ended
The 7-day free trial finished and no plan was chosen. The card reads Choose a plan to keep using Judicio, and View plans is the only button.
Your work is not deleted. Picking a plan restores access to all of it. Note that the trial credit grant does not follow you onto a paid plan: converting starts your new plan's allocation and closes out the trial balance.
A trial is once per account. If a trial has already run on this account, the path forward is a paid plan rather than another trial.
Payment required
This one covers four situations that look the same from the outside: the subscription was cancelled and its period has now ended, a renewal payment is overdue, the term expired at the payment service, or the first payment failed so the subscription never became billable.
The card reads Your subscription payment is overdue. Update your payment method to restore access. Update payment takes you to the billing page.
There is no grace period. A failed renewal locks the account at once rather than after a few days, so treat a failed-payment email as urgent. On the billing page, Update payment in the plan banner footer replaces the card; if the plan itself has lapsed, choose a plan again from the plan picker.
On an organisation, only the subscription owner and organisation admins can do this. Every other member sees the same block and has to wait for one of them.
Account access removed
An organisation admin removed you from the organisation, which released your seat. The card reads Your organization administrator has removed your access. Contact them to restore it, and the only button is Sign out.
Nothing in Judicio will clear this, by design. Your admin re-invites you from their organisation settings, and the invitation arrives by email. If you also hold a personal Judicio account on a different email address, sign out and sign back in with that one.
Account locked
Either Judicio suspended the account, or the account is deactivated for a reason the system will not guess at. Both are treated the same way, because both are conversations rather than self-service.
The card reads Your account has been locked. Please contact support to resolve this. Contact support opens a new support ticket in Judicio with the area already set to your account, and the card also shows the support email address if you would rather write.
This card is also the fallback when Judicio cannot read your profile at all. If you see it and have no idea why, say so in the ticket and include the email address you signed in with.
An upgrade is required
An administrator has set a minimum plan for this account, and the account is below it. The card reads To keep using Judicio, please upgrade to the plan required for your account, with View plans.
The requirement only bites while you are below the plan it names, so moving up to it, or past it, clears the block. A requirement you have already satisfied cannot lock you out.
Your subscription is paused
The subscription is in a paused state at the payment service or at Judicio. A pause blocks access. It is not a cheaper tier and it is not a hold on billing alone.
The card reads Your subscription is currently paused, so access is on hold. Check your billing details or contact support to resume it. View billing opens the billing page, and Contact support opens a new support ticket about billing, with the support email address shown underneath.
Resuming a pause is not self-serve. Check the billing page first, in case there is a payment to settle, then contact support.
If nothing seems to apply
You can reach /account-status while your account is in fact fine. If you get here by typing the address, Judicio sends you back to the dashboard.
If you were sent here by a failing request and your profile insists nothing is wrong, Judicio stops bouncing you between the two and shows the Account locked card instead, so that you have a way out rather than a loop. That specific combination is worth reporting: contact support and say you were redirected to the status page while your account looked active.
Sign out at the foot of every card always works, on every state.
