Account & Billing FAQ

Short answers to the questions we hear most. Each links to the full guide for detail.

Accounts

Can I have more than one Judicio account?

You can create separate accounts with different email addresses, but each email maps to exactly one account. For a personal and a work account, use different emails.

What happens to my account if I don't subscribe after the free trial?

Nothing is charged — the trial is cardless, so there is no payment method to bill and it never converts to a paid plan automatically. Your account and everything in it are preserved, but access to the platform's features pauses until you subscribe. Subscribing restores full access immediately, with your projects, documents, and completed analyses exactly as you left them.

Can I change my email address?

Yes — go to Settings → Profile and update it. You'll verify the new address before the change takes effect.

Subscriptions

What's the difference between Starter and Professional?

Both are single-seat plans with every feature. Starter includes 2,500 credits/month, 5,000 free upload pages/month, and runs analyses on the standard AI models; Professional includes 5,000 credits/month, 10,000 free upload pages/month, and adds Deep Mode — our most advanced AI reasoning. See Subscription Plans.

What's the difference between Professional and Organisation?

Professional is for one person (5,000 credits/month). Organisation adds team features — shared projects, item-level sharing and live collaboration on work items, Admin/Member roles, centralised billing, and a seat-pooled credit balance (5,000 per seat). See Subscription Plans.

Can I switch between Starter, Professional, and Organisation?

Yes, anytime, from Settings → Billing & invoices → Manage subscription. Upgrades apply immediately (prorated); downgrades are scheduled for your next renewal. See Managing Your Subscription.

Is there an annual billing option?

Yes. On the plan-selection screen, toggle Yearly to see annual pricing (2 months free — annual plans bill roughly 10× the monthly amount); annual plans grant the full year's credits up front (30,000 per year on Starter, 60,000 on Professional, per seat on Organisation).

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your projects, documents, and completed analyses are preserved. After the current period ends your account becomes read-only — nothing is deleted, and resubscribing restores everything.

I changed my mind after cancelling — can I undo it?

Yes. While the cancellation is still scheduled, click Resume plan in the "Your plan ends on …" banner on the billing page, and your subscription keeps renewing normally.

Credits

How do I know what an analysis will cost?

Judicio shows a credit estimate on the confirmation screen before it starts, so you can review the projected cost and decide whether to proceed. No hidden charges. See Credits Explained.

What's the difference between Deep and Concise mode?

Deep Mode does a thorough, clause-by-clause analysis using our most advanced AI reasoning and costs more credits; Concise mode gives a focused summary and costs fewer. Deep Mode is available on Professional and Organisation (and every trial includes it); Starter runs on the standard models. See Credits Explained.

Does uploading documents cost credits?

Not within your plan's included pages — every plan includes free upload pages (5,000 a month on Starter, 10,000 a month on Professional, 10,000 per seat a month, pooled, on Organisation, and 500 for the length of the free trial). Once they're used, uploads keep working — just 0.5 credits per page after. Uploads are never blocked. See Credits Explained.

How much do follow-up questions cost?

Half the initial rate. A research or drafting question costs 10 credits (standard) or 25 (Deep Mode); follow-ups in the same conversation cost 5 and 10. Turns where Judicio only asks you a clarifying question are free.

Do unused credits roll over?

Your allocated credits reset at the start of each cycle and don't carry over. Purchased credit packs never expire — they are not reset by a renewal.

Can I buy additional credits?

Yes. On the Overview or Credits tab of the billing page, click Buy credits and choose a pack (1,250 / 2,500 / 5,000 / 12,500 — all at the same flat per-credit price). Purchased credits never expire and are used after your allocated and bonus credits.

What happens to purchased credits if I cancel?

They survive. Purchased top-up credits never expire and stay attached to you (or your organisation) — cancel today, resubscribe next year, and they're still there to spend.

Running low on credits?

Top up instantly with Buy credits, or raise your monthly allocation for good by upgrading your plan or adding seats (each Organisation seat adds 5,000 credits to the pool).

Which credits get used first?

Allocated (plan) credits first, then bonus credits (soonest-to-expire first), then purchased packs.

How are credits shared on Organisation?

They're pooled: total monthly credits = seats × 5,000, and everyone draws from the same pool. Admins see a per-feature breakdown under Settings → Billing & invoices → Credits.

Billing and payments

Which payment methods are accepted?

It depends on your region: India — cards, UPI, net banking, and wallets (Razorpay); International — cards and regional methods (Dodo). See Billing & Invoices.

How do I update my payment method?

In the plan banner on Settings → Billing & invoices, click Update on the Payment method tile. Judicio opens your provider's secure billing portal where you update your card.

Where are my invoices?

On the Invoices tab of Settings → Billing & invoices. Filter by month or status, and click View on any row to open its PDF.

What happens if my payment fails?

Judicio emails you and the provider retries the charge. You keep full access during a short grace period; if it isn't resolved in time, access drops to read-only until the balance is settled. No data is deleted. See Failed payments.

Can I get a GST invoice / add my tax ID?

Yes (Organisation admins). On the Invoices tab, open the Tax details card, click Add GSTIN, and enter your GSTIN and legal business name. It then prints on every invoice.

Teams and organisations

How many members can I add?

Each member needs a seat, and you can add up to 20 seats self-serve from Settings → Billing & invoices → Manage seats. Need more than 20? Contact sales and the Judicio team will set up your organisation. See Team Management.

Can someone belong to more than one organisation?

Each Judicio account belongs to one organisation at a time. To work across several, contact support.

Can I share a research session, review, or draft with a teammate?

Yes — on Organisation, any work item can be shared with specific members as an editor or viewer, and you can transfer ownership entirely. Work items are otherwise private to their owner. See Collaboration & Sharing.

What happens when I remove a member?

They immediately lose access to shared projects and resources; their personal projects stay in their own account; analyses they ran in the organisation are preserved for other members; and their seat is freed for reuse.

Can I transfer ownership of an organisation?

Yes — promote the new owner to Admin (via the menu on their row in Settings → Organization → Members), then optionally step yourself down. Every organisation must keep at least one Admin.
